Would this be good for going to the gym? Need to have room for a pair of jogging shoes a towel and a water bottle?

So where do you put your travel documents, wallet, etc? I notice this backpack doesn’t have an anti theft back pocket which would have been great for those items.

I have that pack in the same color and love it! It is a bit heavy, compared to my Zpacks Arc Haul, but it is much more comfortable. I take that one on summer hikes and my Osprey on fall and spring hikes.

Great review! I use that front 'slash' pocket for my passport/ticket and everything I have to take off to go through security. As soon as I am through I move them inside the case. I always enjoy hearing how others use their case. :)

Great review. One thing. The little slits at the bottom of the back are for a little bike clip on flashlight. Like an Olite Oclip. I love that light. Tiny. Clips on anything. Magnetic back. Multiple brightness levels. And had solid and red blinking lights. It or any other brand is a must for any pack. It’s come in handy many times and it lives on my refrigerator when I’m not on the go.

I also have an Osprey Kyte 48, so I decide to buy a 3L water bladder in order to use with both backpacks, but just not fill it up completely while using this Tempest 9L

As of 8/21/23, the motherloads are 30% off. The code is on the website. I have the large size of the motherload backpack. And I absolutely hate those dumb compression straps. I am thinking of cutting them off. They always seem to be in the way. One thing to note: The big/wide carry/grab handle on the front of the bag can be a trolley sleeve. It's wide enough to fit over. But it is sort of awkward since it is at the bottom of the bag (especially the full sized motherload backpack. I just ordered the junior and hope it works a bit better.)

my first cruise felt very hectic during covid since the added vaccinations paperwork had to happen very close to the cruise date. Then, not having cash made tipping very impersonal since i paid gratituities but there's no way to know if it got to the people that gave me the best service

Hi Lady, oh my,green apples 🍏. This is first time anyone else has mentioned green apples. Green apples 🍏 is only thing I could keep down when I was pregnant x3 for all 9 months. 😮 I don’t have problems with motion sickness until I get on a smaller vessel. Thanks for all the tips.

Thanks for the tips Lady! The route, size of vessel and time of year has a lot to do with the motion. Most of the Inside Passage of Alaska is very protected and you won't get seasick. The first and last cruises of the year are usually windier. July and August is a good time to go to Alaska.

I have always wanted to go on a dance cruise

I like that the handles for each size all match up together for easier maneuvering and being able to move them with one hand.

Good Vid. I have been using GG for quite awhile now. I am going to try and get something different now. I have a few iterations of their stuff. As for your hip straps- the ones I had= totally worked. But as I use my pack for a city pack, I cut them off. I never use them and they take up space and add weight. Also, with how Yours is made, it just wouldn't lend itself to be able to install the better straps on yours and that thing they did put on= looks dysfunctional AF. As for the shoulder straps- I love them. I walk constantly with it on my back and though they might not be 'soft' they never hurt my shoulders and they are Totally Durable. It's usually the #1 thing that goes to s@#t on a Backpack first= the straps. One of the major reasons I won't buy another GG product though= the manufacturing is complete garbage. The straps might not wear out= but they don't stay attached to the BP either. Every One I've bought the straps start coming unstitched from the case. For a premium price= this shouldn't ever be a thing. As for C straps= # 2 reason I'm not buying another GG BP= they always become detached. My last 2 the straps have popped out of their anchor within the first week of use. I tried gluing them in, to no avail. Again, for the price this shouldn't even be a thing?! As for the compartments inside the bag- they could be much better thought out. There's not enough of them and too many long spaces that don't tier well. This is the #3 reason I won't get another one= ALL of the lining on the inside= never lasts. I have rips in pretty much all my different compartments at 1 seam or another, so things in my bag randomly migrate to other compartments, lmao. The reason I bought my first one was that I loved how it was slim and long- which is the most agronomical way on your back. No other BP is like that- they are almost all squares unless you are buying a legit Hiking BP. This is a company that could really grow it's customer base= if they could only manufacture the products with any standard of quality= which they do not. I see you BP isn't of the same standard as their other ones, which is weird, as it seems to fit square on your back, their other BP are not like that. I look at it this way, if I could just go get some whatever Jansport or Swiss Army, and it's about a third of the price- then that's worth it. My BP cost 115 bucks and distenigrated as soon as I started using it. BTW= I've owned 7 of them, 3 different models. Anywho, thanks for the vid.

Hard luggage all the way. More sanitary, can wipe it down, and humidity won’t add extra weight when you least expect it. Yes, that’s a thing and humidity can add more than you think! Also don’t want smells coming back with my luggage so wiping down it soooo great. Once you get hard side, you won’t go back!
